“Mission Possible” Campaign Launches to Benefit TRM

Topeka, KS (August 22, 2019) – Barry Feaker, the Executive Director of the Topeka Rescue Mission (TRM) announced today that CoreFirst, WIBW-TV, the Topeka Capital-Journal and Lamar Advertising are issuing “Mission Possible: Restoring Hope,” a community support campaign to raise funds to support the Mission. CoreFirst Bank & Trust will match donations up to a total of $100,000. The campaign begins August 22 through  September 18. You can make a donation at any Topeka CoreFirst location or online at: corefirstbank.com/mission-possiblewibw.com or cjonline.com.

“Since CoreFirst’s inception, one of our pillars of focus has been the community and giving back. Once news of the Mission’s plight was clear, we knew we wanted to “do more” for TRM and the fundraising efforts,” said John Fager, Marketing Director for CoreFirst. “We look forward to making the Mission Possible for those in need today and for years to come. Let’s rally Top City and give hope back to our Mission and those it serves.” 

The Mission’s main building is located at 600 N. Kansas Ave. The organization, which started in 1953 and is funded almost entirely by private donations.
